Good range of foods here! We got the tempura, karaage, udon, soba and were pleased with all of them. I really enjoyed the music playing - it was a lot of pop mainly from 2010s and it was nice to bop to that haha. Good service too, I overheard the waitress helping some girls get the lunch special

Miso soup and katsu curry are incredible. Chicken portion of katsu was a little small but the flavor was amazing.

Since we were at Japantown, we decided to try Kushi Tsuru for lunch. They had a bit of a line so we waited around 15 min to get seated. The interior is pretty small so there's not many tables - would not recommend for large parties over 7. I had ordered their lunch combo and it comes with rice, salad & 2 pieces of California rolls. They had 2 sections of food to choose from so I picked the gyoza & katsu. Their lunch ends at 3pm. The food came out fairly quick and it's a pretty big portion. The food was fresh and filling. Would come back again! Parking: There is a large paid parking garage under Japantown which usually has parking. If not there is limited street parking.

I'm baaack. Really love this place, think it's my new fav in the mall. Just to shake things up I sat in the back-- woohooo, walking on the wild side. It's equally beautiful with the same warm wood, and larger tables. I can understand why there's loud music in front as it's a young crowd. Being a crabby older person i decided to sit in the serene back room, which I had to myself. Actually, not so serene, the music was blaring just for me. Later a couple families arrived & eventually the entire room was noisy, drowning out the blaring music. So why? Just why is the loud music necessary? Maybe it's just me, I didn't take a poll. Anyway... When I find something I like, I keep ordering it, so Goblin Roll, sans mayo again. How do they manage to get perfectly ripe avocado, and that crispy shrimp, & that dusting of chili powder for a subtle kick. Since I gobbled down the Goblin in record time, decided to try the Agedashi Tofu. OMG, perfectly thin crispy outside, creamy inside. Perfection.
